Absorb the cultural legacy of India, with a visit to its medieval monuments, such as Jumma Masjid and the towering Qutab Minar in Delhi and the spectacular Taj Mahal in Agra.
DAY 01: ARRIVE DELHI. (NO MEAL)
Arrive in Delhi. After crossing the customs gate, you will be met by our representative at the Meet & Greet Hall. Our representative will escort the clients to the vehicle and transfer them to their hotel.
Spend two nights at the Delhi hotel inclusive of breakfast.
DAY 02: DELHI-SRINAGAR. (B|L|D)
After early breakfast, in time transfer to airport to board flight for Srinagar. Met upon arrival and transfer to your Hotel/Houseboat.
Ringed by an arc of green mountains, Srinagar’s is the largest city and the summer capital of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It lies in the Kashmir Valley on the banks of the Jhelum River. The city is known for its natural environment, gardens, waterfronts and houseboats. The greatest drawcard of visiting Srinagar is mesmerizingly placid Dal Lake, on which a bright array of stationary houseboats and shikara (gondola-like boats). The Dal lake, is about 15.5 kilometres (9.6 mi), is encompassed by a boulevard lined with Mughal era gardens, parks, houseboats and hotels. Scenic views of the lake can be witnessed from the Houseboats, Mughal gardens, such as Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh and from cruising along the lake in the colourful shikaras. The Kashmir’s houseboats origin can be traced to 1800s. However, it got popularised in the late 19th century when the floating homes or houseboats were offered to the British Raj and residents, as they were not allowed to own land in Kashmir. The Charming Mughal gardens dot the lake’s less urbanised eastern shore.
After lunch on the Houseboat, enjoy an hours Shikara boat ride on the Dal Lake You will get a view of some very interesting places around the Lake. After this proceed with the sightseeing tour of Srinagar, with the visit of world-famous Mughal Gardens. Mughal gardens are a group of gardens built by the Mughals in the Persian style of architecture. This style was heavily influenced by the Persian gardens particularly the Charbagh structure. Significant use of rectilinear layouts is made within the walled enclosures. Some of the typical features include pools, fountains and canals inside the gardens. Visit Shalimar Bagh, The Bagh was built by Mughal Emperor Jahangir for his wife Nur Jahan, in 1619. The Bagh is considered the high point of Mughal horticulture. It is now a public park. It is also called the “Crown of Srinagar. Also visit the Nishat Bagh, a terraced Mughal garden built on the eastern side of the Dal Lake. ‘Nishat Bagh’ in the local language, Urdu, means “Garden of Joy,” and “Garden of Delight.

DAY 03: SRINAGAR-GULMARG-SRINAGAR. (B|L|D)
Breakfast at Hotel.
Proceed with day’s excursion to visit Gulmarg. Gulmarg is a town, a hill station, a popular skiing destination, located high up in the Pir Panjal Range in the western Himalayas. Gulmarg is the “heartland of winter sports in India” and was rated as Asia’s seventh best ski destination. The town is accessible from Srinagar by road via Tangmarg. The road climbs uphill in the last 12 kilometres to Gulmarg passing through forests of pine and fir. Winter sports like skiing, tobogganing, snowboarding and heli-skiing take place on the slopes of Mount Apharwat reachable by a Gondola lift.
Upon arrival in Gulmarg enjoy a Gondola ride up to the first phase. After a hot lunch at a local restaurant, we return back to our Hotel in Srinagar.

DAY 04: SRINAGAR-DELHI-AGRA. (B|L|D)
After breakfast, in time transfer to the airport to board flight for Delhi. Met upon arrival in Delhi.
After lunch at a local restaurant, depart by surface for Agra, 205 Kms/Approx. 5 hours.
Upon arrival in Agra, check in your hotel. Dinner and overnight at the Agra Hotel.
DAY 05: AGRA-DELHI (B|L|D)
Early morning at sunrise we visit the Taj Mahal, one of the most famous buildings in the world, the mausoleum of Shah Jahan’s favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It is one of the New Seven Wonders of the world, and one of the three World Heritage Sites in Agra. Finished in marble, it is perhaps India’s most beautiful monument and is set amidst landscaped gardens. Verses of the Quran are inscribed on it and at the top of the gate are twenty-two small domes, signifying the number of years the monument took to build. The most elegant dome of the Taj Mahal has a diameter of 60 feet (18 m) and rises to a height of 80 feet (24 m); directly under this dome is the tomb of Mumtaz Mahal. Shah Jahān’s tomb was erected next to hers by his son Aurangzeb. The interiors are decorated with fine inlay work, incorporating semi-precious stones.
After Breakfast at Hotel, check-out of rooms and proceed with the sightseeing tour of Agra Fort, was commissioned by the conquering Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great in 1565 and is another of Agra’s World Heritage Sites. The red sandstone fort was converted into a palace during Shāh Jahān’s time and reworked extensively with marble and pietra dura inlay. Notable buildings in the fort include the Pearl Mosque or Motī Masjid, the Dīwān-e-‘Ām and Dīwān-e-Khās (halls of the public and private audience), Jahāngīr’s Palace, Khās Mahal, Shīsh Mahal (mirrored palace), and the Musamman Burj. Post sightseeing tour, visit a Marble emporium and see the same art as applied on Taj Mahal being applied on may items of daily usage.
After lunch at the Hotel, depart by vehicle for Delhi (270 Kms/ a drive of 5 hours).
Upon arrival in Delhi, check in at the hotel, dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 06: DELHI & DEPART. (B|L|D)
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed for the sisghtseeing tour of Old Delhi. Begin the sightseeing with a visit to Old Delhi covering The Jama Masjid. Located in the centre of the old city, this congregational mosque was built by Sultan Ahmed Shah in 1423. Take a Rickshaw Ride in narrow lanes of Old Delhi Market (Chandni Chowk) Later drive past the Red Fort on the western bank of the river Yamuna. Built in red stone, The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan started the construction of this massive fort in 1638, after which he shifted the capital from Agra to Delhi. Visit Raj Ghat, a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi is a simple black marble platform that marks the spot of his cremation on 31 January 1948. It is left open to the sky while an eternal flame burns perpetually at one end. A stone footpath flanked by lawns leads to the walled enclosure that houses the memorial. Two museums dedicated to Gandhi Ji are located nearby. The memorial has the epitaph He Ram, believed to be the last words uttered by Gandhi.
After this have your lunch at a local restaurant.
Post lunch, you will be taken for a short drive through the government building areas where we will glimpse the magnificent Parliament Building, built in a circular shape supported by 144 pillars. The Rashtrapati Bhawan (the official residence of the President of India) is spread over 330 acres and was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. Also, drive past India Gate, an arch which is a war memorial that honours the 90,000 soldiers of the British-Indian army, who lost their lives fighting for the British during WW1.
Later have dinner, post which you will be transferred to the airport in order to board your flight for your onward journey.
